- Your matching quiz responses — how you feel, what you want to work on, your session preferences and budget
- Your phone number, if you opt into SMS notifications
- Your general location, if you search for in-person therapists
- Messages exchanged through the Theravela platform
- Usage data — how you interact with our platform to help us improve it
How we use it
We use your information only to provide and improve the Theravela service:
- To match you with therapists based on your responses
- To send you notifications about matches, messages and appointments
- To facilitate communication between you and therapists
- To improve our matching algorithm and platform experience

We never use your information for advertising, and we never sell your data to third parties. Ever.
What therapists see
Therapists on Theravela see a curated summary of your profile — not your full quiz responses. This includes your general focus areas, session preferences and the energy you're looking for in a therapist.
Your full name and contact details are only shared with a therapist after you confirm an intro call booking. You stay anonymous until you're ready.
Your rights
You are always in control of your information. You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time
- Opt out of email or SMS notifications at any time
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Cookies & tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
